Garam masala is more like a collection of some of the major spices like cinnamon, cumin, fenugreek seeds, garlic, ginger powder and other spices. The range of each individual spice in this combination depends on the way that it was prepared. The preparation of this masala varies as widely as its fame; each and every person has their own receipe for this masala. The garam masala is often used in the preparation of snacks,dals,gravies and other dishes, thus giving it that unique flavor that blends well with the food.
