Hawa Mahal – The Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds, is one of the remarkable and most famous attractions in the city. This magnificent palace is noted for its amazing architecture which is strange and spectacular than of other forts and palaces in Rajasthan. This palace was designed in the year of 1799 by Lal Chand Usta and built by the order of Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. It is built in form of crown of Hindu Lord Krishna. It is a five storey unique buildings and looks akin to honeycomb of beehive. Built in red sandstone the palace has 953 small windows called Jharokhas. Windows are decorated with intricate lattice work. The main purpose of the lattice was to let royal women to watch daily life and processions in the street below without being has seen The unique thing about this beautiful palace is its cool atmospheres even during summer. The look of the Hawa Mahal is spectacular and breathtaking at sunrise.
