Rajasthan is a lively state where custom and royal glory meets. It is rich in culture, heritage, beauty and natural resources. The land is also endowed with forts and magnificent palaces (havelis). Rajasthan is famous for music, dance, art, craft and adventure. It is blessed with sand dunes, serene lakes and natural surroundings. Thus there are a lot of places to explore in Rajasthan. To name a few the cities of Jaipur, Udaipur, Bikaner, Jaisalmer are quite famous.
JAIPUR- popularly known as the pink city of India and also the capital of Rajasthan is generally the first one to be explored by the travelers. It has the famous Hawa Mahal (Palace on Winds) and also the Amber Palace which has the famous Jal Mandir and also the Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors). Then there is the famous Jantar Mantar and Birla Temple. Apart from this the Jaipur market place is also quite famous where one can find all kinds of local artisan work. The Rajasthani work is very famous all over the world like the precious and semi precious stones, Jewellery, cotton fabrics, block printed fabrics and pottery.

JAISALMER- which lies in the heart of Thar dessert. This city is basically famous for palaces (havelis) which history has bestowed on it. These havelis are famous for elegant architectural work. One famous fort of Jaisalmer is the Jaisalmer fort which reminds the traditional lifestyle of the Maharajas of yesteryear. It is also famous for sand dunes.
UDAIPUR- Popularly known as the Lake city. One famous lake of Udaipur is the Lake Pichhola. On this lake stands the famous Jag Mandir (a famous palace of royal era) and the Jag Niwas (a summer residence of the princes of Mewar. Apart from this there is the famous Jagdish temple (dedicated to Lord Vishnu) in Udaipur. Udaipur is considered as the most romantic cities of Rajasthan. Not only this, it also has a lot of beautiful gardens. One such garden is the “Saheliyon Ki Bari”. This garden is well laid, with extensive lawns and shady walks.
